Corvus participates in Canada’s trade mission in Nigeria and Ghana

RICHMOND, B.C., CANADA –
January 27, 2013 — Corvus Energy, a leading manufacturer of advanced and energy dense lithium polymer batteries, is joining Canada’s trade mission in Nigeria and Ghana Jan. 27 to Feb. 1 with Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway with the objective of exploring the region’s business potential and promoting trade between nations.

Corvus already has a local partnership underway to provide reliable, economical and environmentally friendly power solutions to Nigeria.  This trade mission will enhance the company’s efforts to expand business on the continent.

“This trade mission is an opportunity for Corvus to further build relationships in the region,” said Corvus Energy’s CEO Brent Perry. “It’s also a chance for us to promote our clean technology as a non-grid source of high quality power and share how it can play a role in improving the lives of African people.”

The trade mission will include business meetings and presentations with national companies such as Oando Energy Resources, CPCS Transcom, Dantata & Sawoe Construction Company Ltd, Dangote Group, Africa Finance Corporation, and Mart Resources/Frontier Oil/Seplat Oil.

The Canada trade mission will also entail an education component that includes legal aspects of doing business in Nigeria, working with the states, and opportunities in infrastructure.

“By promoting and showcasing Canada’s strengths and capabilities in target sectors and foreign markets, trade missions enhance Canada’s profile and visibility on the international stage, while maximizing the benefits for world-class Canadian companies,” said Minister Fast. “By helping Canadian businesses expand and succeed abroad, we are also helping to create jobs, growth and prosperity at home.”
